He grew up in Helena, Montana where he attended Kessler Elementary School, CR Anderson Middle School and Capital High School. He excelled at everything he put his mind to. Scott participated in Football, wrestling and Track and Field. He graduated from Capital High School in 1993. He loved playing Babe Ruth baseball & later on he enjoyed coaching with the Babe Ruth Association.

After graduation he made the decision to serve his country and enlist in the United States Marine Corps. He graduated from 29 Palms, Marine Academy in California. During his 4 years of service, he was stationed twice to Okinawa, Japan. Scott was an expert swimmer & worked with Marine's on numerous swimming techniques. He was honorably discharged in 1998. A chapter of his life that he held close to his heart and cherished the memories and camaraderie he built during that time.

Scott later returned to Helena and followed in his father's footsteps pursuing a career as a Lineman. While in Helena Scott worked for Northwestern Energy, and Rocky Mountain Construction.

Scott was a devoted member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. (IBEW local 44). He held close bonds to his mentors and Brothers. Participating in Lineman's Rodeos were highlights he looked forward to.

In 2015 Scott met the love of his life, Jackie Weaver of Buffalo, New York. Though miles, mountains and rivers couldn't keep them apart Scott relocated to Buffalo in 2017. Surrounded by family, Jackie and Scott were married in an intimate ceremony on October 26th, 2018 at Niagara Falls. They lived near Buffalo in Hamburg, New York. Scott and Jackie loved to travel and were outdoor weekend warriors, the two enjoyed biking, hiking and kayaking with their dog Bailey. Gardening was a hobby he enjoyed. Holidays were some of their most cherished times together.

Scott continued his career as a Lineman while in New York taking him up and down the east coast chasing the aftermath of storms and restoring power as needed. At the time of his passing, he was working as a line inspector in the Long Island area.

Scott was a devoted husband, son, brother, grandson, stepdad and friend. He adored his family and friends and in recent years enjoyed his trips home to Montana, the land that he loved and called home. Some of his happiest times during his younger years were spent hunting, camping and fishing with his dad, brother, Uncle Pat and Grandpa Ted. He always looked forward to their annual elk hunt near Dillon, Montana. He had memorable fishing trips and stories from the Tobacco Root Fishing Trips to Alaska and many summer lake outings. He enjoyed reminiscing about these trips to anyone that would listen! Scott was a dedicated and die-hard Montana Grizzly Fan and recently traveled to Frisco, Texas with his sister, Kristen, to cheer on their team. Since his early childhood & all through his adult life, he was an avid & dedicated fan!
