Raymond Lowell Casey, 79 of Sheridan Montana passed away in Sheridan Montana on March 4, 2025.

Ray was born to John William Casey and Grace Irene Sparks Casey in Blackfoot Idaho on November 14, 1945. Ray grew up in various locations throughout the Rocky Mountains as his family traveled for work. Ray attended school in Sunset Utah. In 1960 while in school in Sunset, Ray met the love of his life, Janice Marie Casey. After courting for a while, Ray and Janice were married in Utah on August 31, 1962. During their marriage, Ray and Janice lived in Utah, Idaho, and Montana. Ray and Janice were married sixty-two (62) years. His loving wife, Janice passed away this past November.

In his early years, Ray was enlisted in the United States Air Force as an Air Cargo Specialist, Airman First Class. In 1974, Ray started an upholstery and refinishing business with his wife Janice and his father-in-law, Ike Furgason. In 1999, Ray and Janice also started a wild game processing business during the hunting season. Ray was well known for his Jerky.

Throughout his life, Ray was a loving father, husband, co-worker, and lifelong companion.

Ray and Janice shared five daughters: Nina Marie, Mary Ann, RayAnn, Rosie May and Jody Lynn. Together they enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and exploring the mountains via off-road travel.

Ray is survived by his brother William (Nancy) Casey of Pocatello Idaho, sister Kathleen Westmoreland of Billings, Montana; his five daughters - Nina Philpott of Billings, Montana, Mary Ann Casey and Jody Lovejoy of Sheridan, Montana, RayAnn (Russ) Sutton of Dillon, Montana and Rosie (Gary) Elliott of Spring Brook, Wisconsin; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Raymond and Janice Casey with military honors for Raymond will be held at 10am on Saturday May 17th, 2025, at the Sheridan Montana cemetery. Followed by a Celebration of Life and lunch at 11:30 am at the Mill Creek Inn in Sheridan, Montana. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Ray & Janice Casey to the American Legion Post 89 in Sheridan Montana or a charity of your choice.
