Laura Capp

     With great sadness we announce the passing of our loving Mother, Laura Catherine Capp. She was born June 20, 1927 in Butte MT and passed away November 22, 2024 in the Butte hospital. She was raised in McQueen, Butte, Montana and married Vincent Capp, June 20, 1946. They resided in Whitehall since their marriage.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, parents Katie (Bugni) and Guido Palagi, sister, Louise Pelletier and brother, Larry Palagi. Mom is survived by her son, Richard Capp (Nora) Whitehall, daughters, Patricia Bowman (Mike) Billings MT and LouAnn Schielke (Dale) of Richland WA, 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great, great granddaughter. 

     She was a loving and very busy ranch wife and wonderful cook for many ranch hands. Flower gardens and bowling were her special passions.

     She was a long-time active member of the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church singing in the church choir and serving in the Ladies Auxiliary. She also volunteered for over 30 years at the Whitehall Country Store contributing her time for the Whitehall Ambulance Fund.

      She was a master of the card game Shanghai and could play for hours with family and friends. 

Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Theresa's on November 27 th with interment following in the Whitehall Cemetery.

      Mom will be greatly missed by all her loved ones. We are sure she has a place singing in the Choirs of Heaven.
