Jaxon Lee Popalis

December 4, 2009 — December 14, 2024

Whitehall

Jaxon Lee Popalis was born on December 4, 2009, and taken from us far too soon on December 14, 2024. He was a brilliant light in the lives of all who knew him. As the beloved son of Ryan Popalis and Danielle (Popalis) Beth, Jaxon was part of a dynamic family that included his siblings Gabriel, Kelly, Landon, Lance, Sara, Emma, and his step-sister Chloe Beth. Together, they created a bond of love and laughter that will forever be cherished and missed.

From a young age, Jaxon showcased remarkable wit and an infectious sense of humor. He was known for his playful jokes and quick comebacks, always ready to bring smiles to those around him. His passion for learning was evident, particularly his genius for quantum physics that amazed family and friends, often just to drive his dad crazy. Yet, beyond his intellect, it was his warmth and affection that truly defined him. Jaxon had a unique talent for giving the best hugs, wrapping those he loved in comforting embraces that made everything feel right in the world.

His interests were as diverse as his talents. Jaxon had a deep love for Pokémon and Harry Potter, delighting in their adventures. He enjoyed playing Minecraft and Terraria, where he could create and explore new worlds. He was a fan of adventure card games and cherished family movie nights that brought everyone together. Additionally, he loved playing Roblox with his siblings and cousins, creating memories filled with laughter and fun.

Born in Virginia while his father served in the U.S. Army, Jaxon's early years were filled with adventure as the family moved to Hawaii for three years before settling in Montana. He attended Whitehall School, where he continued to shine as a great kid, earning the respect and admiration of his teachers and peers.

Jaxon is lovingly remembered by his extended family, which played a significant role in his life. He is survived by great-grandma Marian Carr, great-grandma Marge Durham, and great-grandpa Lyle Reed. His cherished grandparents, Jeannie Popalis, Terry and Kitty Reed, and Eric and Shyla Barnosky, provided him with unwavering support and love throughout his journey. Additionally, Jaxon had a remarkable network of 21 aunts and uncles and 25 cousins, all of whom adored him and will carry forward his memory in their hearts. This large and loving family created a tapestry of experiences and connections that enriched Jaxon's life, honoring his legacy. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jim Popalis and his uncle Chris Reed.

As we remember Jaxon, let us celebrate the joy he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Though his time with us was far too brief, his spirit will live on in the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the memories we hold dear. Jaxon Popalis will forever be missed and lovingly remembered.

We love you, Jaxon!
