Cynthia D. Merchant Yanzick

Cynthia D. Merchant Yanzick passed away on October 21, 2023. She was born December 15th, 1953, in Jamaica, New York to Evelyn and Tom Merchant. 

She grew up in Queens New York and moved to Montana for school. Cindy worked her way through college in the greenhouse of the University of Montana and developed a passion for gardening. She graduated with a degree in psychology. That degree led her to employment as a habitational specialist at Montana State School in Boulder, MT where she met Phil Yanzick. They married and were happily married until Phil's passing. 

Cindy loved interior design and found great joy in remodeling their house, designing her Westy's doghouse and landscaping their yard into a show place. She was an incredible cook and cutthroat card player which Phil loved. She also took pleasure in finding and acquiring unique antiques and artwork. She was smart, creative and had the sauciness of a true New Yorker!

Cindy was preceded in death by her mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law and husband.
