Arlene Jeanette Heebner

April 1, 1934 — February 2, 2025

Three Forks

On February 2, 2025, Arlene Jeanette Renstrom Heebner decided it was time to head to the ultimate gathering of "Cool Cats" and reunite with her beloved Jack. Born on April Fool's Day in 1934 in Billings, MT, Arlene always had a knack for keeping life fun and full of surprises.

A proud graduate of Garfield Elementary, Riverside Middle School, and Billings Senior High, Arlene later attended Billings Business College-though she might argue her most important education came from raising a family and surrounding herself with wonderful friends. During her school years, she was an avid ice skater and spent time working at Von and Ragsdale, proving early on that she could balance both grace and a good bargain.

In 1955, she married the love of her life, Jack Heebner, in Billings, MT. Together, they built a life full of adventure, love, and just the right amount of chaos as they moved from Laurel to Noxon, then back to Billings before settling in Three Forks. Along the way, they welcomed their two daughters, Lauri and Vicki, who were lucky enough to inherit Arlene's love of family, humor, and a well-kept yard.

Arlene worked at Kanta Products in Three Forks but never let work get in the way of her passions-spending time with friends, singing in church, and keeping an eye on the latest athletic events featuring her grandchildren. She was a devoted volunteer at Sweet Briar Chapter of Eastern Star, Rainbow, and the Three Forks United Methodist Church, where she also taught MYF classes (and likely kept kids in line with her signature mix of kindness and wit).

She took great pride in keeping a tidy home and yard, even while perfecting her golf swing. She loved a good trip to Jackpot or Branson and never passed up an opportunity to cheer on her family. Arlene may have left this world, but her humor, warmth, and generosity will live on in those lucky enough to have known her.

She now joins Jack, her parents Alma and Melvin, her brother Melvin Jr., and sister Lenore, who have no doubt been saving her a seat at the table. She leaves behind her daughters Lauri (John) Tognetti and Vicki (Mike) Carle, as well as her grandchildren: Lauren (Ahren) Hastings, Colby (Laura) Tognetti, Kellen (Therese) Tognetti, Mason Carle, and Peyton (Karolina) Carle. She also had the joy of loving her great-grandchildren: Cooper and Caden Hastings, Greyson and Tayler Tognetti, Elias and Magnolia Tognetti, and Kason Carle.

Arlene's family and friends will continue her legacy by keeping their yards neat, their spirits high, and their voices strong in church. In her honor, enjoy a round of golf, sing a little louder, and remember-life is best lived with laughter, love, and maybe a little trip to the casino every now and then.

Memorial donations can be sent to the Three Forks United Methodist Church, 124 2nd Ave E, Three Forks, MT 59752, or to Pack the Place In Pink, breast cancer charity at 1425 Oklahoma Star Trail W, Billings, MT 59105.

Rest easy, Arlene-you played a winning hand.
